Things to Note:

Family Newsletter

Because of COVID-19, our district has put in place stringent requirements for students to return to school if sent home sick.  Please note the following:

Students must meet ALL of the conditions before re-entry:
1.  At least one day (24 hours) have passed since recovery
and
2.  Improvement in symptoms (e.g. cough, shortness of breath)
and
3.  At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared
In the case of a student who has a positive test result, but has no symptoms, the student is required to be out at least 10 days from the positive test result.

All students on Hazel Ingram Elementary School Campus MUST be in a car seat to and from school.  It is a STATE LAW! If your child does not have a car seat, they will not be allowed to leave with person picking them up until a car seat is provided. Please make arrangements to always have your child in a car seat at all times, to and from school. Thank you for helping with this safety matter.

Mrs. Griffith, Principal

Principal's Message

Welcome to Hazel Ingram Elementary School, "Where the Yellowjacket Tradition Begins."  We are so glad you are visiting our campus website.  I am Vickie Griffith, campus principal.   It is my honor to lead this wonderful campus where I had the privilege of attending Kindergarten through 3rd grade many years ago.  This campus holds so many great memories for me, as a child, and it is a dream come true to be leading it as campus principal.

Here is a little bit about our campus:  Hazel Ingram Elementary School is an early childhood center, with about 420 students from diverse backgrounds.  We have grades Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) and Kindergarten.   We are a Dual Language Campus with Bilingual sections in all of our grade levels.    We offer a S.T.E.M.  lab(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Outdoor Learning Center for our students as well as two computer labs.  Each classroom has a wealth of technology with 1:1 ipads for all students and Promethian boards in every classroom.  We are glad to say that our students are given lots of opportunities in many educational areas with "hands-on" activities to help them grow their learning.  At Hazel Ingram Elementary School, we are all about building the foundations of early literacy and numeracy while making learning fun for our students.

Don't Forget: You are always welcome at Hazel Ingram Elementary School, "Where the Yellowjacket Tradition Begins."

Take care!

Vickie Griffith, Principal
